Two of the apartments are currently used by the owners and due to recent restructring the cpacity of the agriturismo is reduced to ten beds rather than the 27-30 bed space of full capacity. Located just across the courtyard is the breakfast-dining area which also serves as a reception area for guests. This building has been beautifully restored using authentic Tuscan materials such as stone, cotto and chestnut beams. Vineyards & Olive Groves
The medieval town of San Gimingnano is not only famous for its beauty and uniqueness, but also for the high quality terroire, from which some of Italy’s best wines are produced. The white ‘ Vernaccia’ wine was the first wine in Italy to receive the DOCG accolade in 1966. The experts say that the area is able to produce such fine wines due to the sandy-clay soil which has built up into layers over the years, combined with the gradients of the hillsides and valleys, the vines are able to lay deep roots whilst still benefitting from excellent drainage.
The wine-estate we have for sale here sits on its own hilltop and the vineyards slope away to the south of the property. All of the land is connected directly to the main estate. There are circa. 7ha of vineyards in total ( DOCG + DOC ).
The estate also produces a very good Extra Virgin Olive Oil, from which the olives are harvested by hand from the 3.3 Ha circa of Olive Groves.
The whole estate composes circa 12Ha of land, of which circa 7 Ha are vineyards, circa 3 Ha are olive groves and the remaining 2 Ha circa are prima arable land.
The Wine Cellar & Facilities
The independent Cantina / Wine Cellar is currently equipped for the production and storage of wine. The Cellar measures approx.170 m2.
