The Wynwood Arts District

The Wynwood Arts District is home to over 70 Art Galleries, Retail Stores, Antique Shops, Eclectic Bars and one of the largest open-air street-art installations in the world. 

Over the last couple years, it has seen a major push with increased investments and numerous developments popping up all around the area. Today, it is considered one of the largest and most prominent Art communities in the United States; its residential and commercial real estate is taking off at an unprecedented rate. 

The neighborhood contains many abandoned warehouses, and was once known for being a manufacturing district in Miami. Artists and developers have taken over these neglected warehouses, factories and other unused buildings and transformed them into creative, distinct venues. Art galleries, studios, restaurants, bars, cafes and residences are all modern establishments that you will see there today. 

It is also home to the "Wynwood Walls"; An outdoor mural, permanent exhibit featuring some of the worlds most renowned street artists. Every Second Saturday of the Month, the galleries open their doors to the public, and the city hosts an Art Walk. People from all over Miami attend this monthly event as the streets, galleries, restaurants and bars are all packed. Patrons are able to view different pieces of art as well as enjoy all quality dining and social scene the city has to offer. This go-to place offers an alternative and more cultural night life in the City of Miami. 

Wynwood has seen a high amount of growth in a relatively short period of time. The endorsement and vision of some prominent figures in the art word deciding to explore the potential of the district and setting up shop in Wynwood has greatly influenced the success and recognition of the District among the international art elite. The annual Art Basel festival also put several artists in the spotlight and brought even further recognition to the area. Businesses of all types are opening their doors in the district, and finding much success.
