What's happening in Miami Downtown

Downtown Miami has been through a lot of changes since the turn of the century, shaking off most of the cumbersome presence of its more famous neighborhoods. Nowadays, it’s no longer an anonymous downtown but it presents itself to the eyes of the tourists as a place of great potential, in terms of culinary offer, cultural scene and entertainment.

Worth mentioning are: Bayside village, with its historic marina, its souvenir shops and its live concerts. The American Airport Arena, house to the Miami Heat and venue to some of the hottest concerts in the nation. The Arscht Centre has been largely influential to the rebirth of a cultural and artistic scene in Miami while the brand new Perez Museum has already surpassed the most optimistic expectations in terms of sold tickets.

And that’s just the beginning.

Everyday, exciting new projects (a world class casino, a soccer stadium and brand new soccer team, a futuristic city mall, etc.) are set forward by some of the most prestigious developers in the world, attracted by the idea of further shaping Miami as a new top luxury destination.

Here’s a few highlight from what’s already been name “the Billion Dollar Mile” (which also comprises Midtown and Edgewater):

- 1000 Museum
- Centro
- Millecento
